The Medical Science University of Iran conducted a study. Researchers divided the participants in two groups of women with weight problems.
The women from both groups were having a healthy diet, consuming less than five hundred calories a day, for a period of 3 months. The only difference between the groups was the use of spices. The first group consumed three grams of cumin mixed with 140 grams of yogurt every morning before breakfast. The second group consumed yogurt without cumin.
The results were unbelievable! The group of women that consumed cumin lost fourteen pounds more than the second group. They lost about 14.64% of fat, compared to only 4.91% fat lost in the second group.
The women achieved their exceptional results because cumin contains great amounts of filosterole, which can prevent the cholesterol retention in our body. This is the reason why cumin is so effective for boosting the metabolism and losing weight.
